About CDL 101 weekly
Welcome to CDL 101 weekly
This site is here to put you in the drivers seat. Too many web sites are willing to charge you a small fee for information (about getting your CDL) that should be free. We here at www.cdl101weekly.com are putting this valuable information out for free. There is no charge whatsoever for the useful information you will find here. This site is all about bringing good people to the transportation industry and preparing you for what may lay ahead of you, if you choose to become a driver.
We have put together several useful tools to make that decision to become a commercial driver easier for you. You will find pod cast, free CDL practice exams, weekly blog and articles about the transportation industry. All this is to keep you from making a career choice you may later regret. With the high cost of driving schools, a better prepared driver is a smarter driver. We have no desire to make that choice for you, only to help you make an informed decision.
The transportation industry is constantly recruiting and has been for at least 25 years. We see drivers enter the field only to stay a short while and leave for another field of work. If the transportation industry was more up front about the woes of our chosen industry, the turnover rate could be much lower. Every industry must replace the retiring members as well as grow on a continual basis, and this industry is not any different. The transportation industry has made progress in this area, yet we still have work ahead of us.

About me
Since 1987 I have been enjoying my chosen profession as a licensed commercial driver. The first 5 years were spent on the road, mostly between Omaha and the east coast. Since 1992 I have been enjoying working as a local driver. With experience in many types of equipment from food service, feed delivery, dedicated runs, tanker, dump, container, and currently a local steel hauler. Serving all of Ohio and parts of Indiana and Michigan, and loving every minute of it.
With years of experience in this transportation industry, I hope to help as many as possible. That may be with help obtaining a CDL or help after securing a CDL. Providing CDL material such as audio study guide, Blog, driving school directory and a CDL jobs directory. All this to help you and all free for the taking. Feel free to contact me with questions, comments or suggestions. You can do so through the contact page or by calling the listener feed-back line at 740-396-8CDL. Thanks for coming by and best of luck to you in your career.
